Job Description
As a Commercial Construction Estimator , you will be responsible for delivering accurate, competitive estimates for a variety of commercial construction projects. You’ll review plans, perform take-offs, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure estimates align with project goals and budget expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents.
- Perform detailed quantity take-offs and develop comprehensive cost estimates.
- Evaluate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and field staff to support successful project delivery.
- Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
- Prepare, review, and subNmit complete bid proposals.
- Conduct site visits as needed to better understand project conditions and refine estimates.
- Stay current on industry trends, pricing, and construction methods.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
- Proficient in reading construction drawings and performing take-offs.
- Familiarity with estimating tools such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar software.
- Strong organizational, time management, and scheduling skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record.
