Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused On-Site AV Technician to provide technical support, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio visual systems at client locations. This role requires hands-on experience with AV hardware and software, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot AV equipment including projectors, displays, video conferencing systems, speakers, microphones, and control systems.
• Provide live event support (meetings, conferences, presentations) including staging, switching, and audio mixing.
• Perform preventative maintenance and ensure optimal performance of installed systems.
• Respond to support requests, diagnose issues, and resolve or escalate as necessary.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure AV needs are clearly understood and met.
• Maintain detailed records of service activities, equipment logs, and incident reports.
• Stay current with emerging AV technologies and industry best practices.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in an AV technician or field service role.
• Proficiency with AV systems such as Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams Rooms.
• Familiarity with signal flow, cable termination, and rack builds.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders or in tight spaces as required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CTS or CTS-I certification.
• Experience in corporate, education, or event production AV environments.
• Networking knowledge (AV over IP, VLANs, etc.).

Schedule:

Typical business hours, with occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekend support depending on client needs.
