Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Cylindrical Grinder Operator!

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate manual cylindrical grinding machines
• Select appropriate grinding wheels
• Set up workpiece holding fixtures
• Adjust machine parameters (speed, feed rate, etc.)
• Interpret blueprints and technical specifications
• Understand required dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes
• Monitor grinding operations
• Check for accuracy and make real-time adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency
• Inspect finished parts
• Use micrometers, calipers, and other tools to confirm compliance with specifications

Qualifications/Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience with manual ID/OD grinding
• Strong understanding of grinding processes, machine setup, and wheel selection
• Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and drawings
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
• High attention to detail and quality
• Problem-solving skills for addressing process or quality issues

Compensation:

• Pay: $25-$35/hourly, based on experience
