Psychiatric Care Provider (Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant)

Onsite: Cedar Rapids, IA 52404

Salary: $139,000/Yearly

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for individuals with mental health conditions.



• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with our interdisciplinary team.



• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications according to best practices and state guidelines.



• Provide psychotherapy and counseling using evidence-based techniques.



• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.



• Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.



• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.



• Assist with Ketamine and Spravato® treatments as part of our clinic’s integrative offerings.

Qualifications

• One of the following:



• Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing with certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)



• Master’s degree and licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) with psychiatric experience



• Current licensure to practice in the state of Iowa



• Experience in psychiatry or mental health settings



• Interest in or experience with ketamine-assisted therapy (KAP) and/or functional medicine is preferred



• Experience in systems-based practice, emergency medicine, geriatrics, or working with developmental disabilities is a plus



• Proficiency in vital signs assessment and basic life support



• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (we cannot sponsor employment visas)

Pay Range: $120,000-$139,000/Yearly


 
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
