Job Description

Our client, a food distributor in the Greater Baltimore Area, is looking for a Warehouse Manager to join their team. The Manager will direct all warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving product and inventory, provide administration and direction to warehouse supervisors and staff.

Sunday -Thursday, 3p shift start time.

Salary range $85,000-$95,000, commensurate with experience

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervises staff to include, but not limited to: staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution. Ensures staff maintains a level of professionalism, competency and motivation through the direction of selection, development and ongoing evaluation. Responsible for the daily work of associates engaged in order selection, checking, order loading, product receiving, replenishment, operations equipment and software, inventory, maintenance and repair.
  • Promotes safety through the re-enforcement of current safety programs, additional programs, safety meetings, proper footwear and clothing. Ensure adherence to Federal regulations, state and federal laws, OSHA requirements, and all personnel guidelines. Ensures colleagues follow all warehousing procedures to meet inventory control goals, order accuracy, product integrity, food safety & rotation
  • Works closely with Transportation Manager to ensure the highest level of efficiency within the overall operation. Ensures trucks are unloaded/loaded properly on an accurate and timely basis by overseeing workload scheduling and production in the warehouse.
  • Reviews stock status reports, coordinates with inventory staff to ensure accurate counts of inventory are available and sufficient to meet customers needs, and that material is handled and stored correctly with a minimum potential for loss.
  • Ensures building and equipment are maintained through coordination with personnel in maintenance and repair supervision.

Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent; BA preferred
  • At least 4 years warehouse management experience, including supervision of staff, shipping and receiving, inventory, facility maintenance, customer service and all phases of warehouse distribution/operations
  • Foodservice industry experience required
  • Ability to converse in Spanish required
  • Experience with multi-temperature warehouse environments highly preferred
  • Experience with budgets, P&L, Excel spreadsheets preferred
